Entities are related to an entity in the tier above them called the “parent” while these lower tiered entities are referred to as “children” of the higher tiered entity. The children of a parent entity are also referred to as “siblings” of each other.
To see an entity’s children:
- Go to the “Manage Entities” tab:
- Click the “+” button next to an entity of interest:
- You will now see the entity’s children:
- To see the children of one of these entities, click the “+” button next to the sibling of interest:
- You will now see another layer of child entities appear:
- If an entity has no children, the “+” button will be blank:
To move an entity:
- Go to the “Manage Entities” tab:
- Click the details button next to an entity of interest:
- Select the edit button for “Entity Hieracrchy”:
- Here, you can move the entity from one parent to another by selecting the destination from the parent “Destination” dropdown menu and clicking the “MOVE” button:
- Alternatively, you can move each of the entity’s children to another parent by selecting them from “Child to move” dropdown menu and selecting a new parent from the “Destination” dropdown menu:
- Click the “MOVE” button:
Please be aware that if you move an entity from one parent to another parent, the entity’s children will no longer be related to the entity’s original parent.
