The portal allows administrators to set up single sign-on (SSO) with Okta or One-Login. If you are setting up SSO with an Okta account. Log into your Okta administrator account and then:
- Go to the Applications dropdown:
- Click the “Add Application” button:
- Click the “Create New App” button:
- Select “SAML 2.0” and click the “Create” button:
- Name your application and add an optional logo. This will be displayed on the login screen unless you choose not to show it. Then click the "Next" button:
- Add SAML settings in the provided fields. For the “Single sign on URL” field add the text “<portal url>/saml2/acs” and for the “Audience URI (SP Entity ID)” field enter the text “<portal url>/saml2/metadata”:
- Also add the attribute statements “FirstName” / “user.firstName,” “LastName” / “user.lastName” and “Email” / “user.email” and then click the “Next” button:
- Select “I’m an Okta customer adding an internal app” and also select “It's required to contact the vendor to enable SAML” then click the “Finish” button:
- Once the application is created, you need to add the SAML configuration into the Prevalent portal and validate the credentials. Under the “Sign On” tab you will see “SAML 2.0 is not configured until you complete the setup instructions.”:
- Click the "View Setup Instructions" button:
From here, you will see a new window with details required for completing SSO setup within the Prevalent platform.
